PHOTOGRAPHY
Juanita has a passion for photography and she shoots exclusively with Canon Professional Luxury lenses, Canon's flag ship 1Ds Mark III SLR & other Canon Camera's.
She is a member of Gem Camera Club Kalamunda and the Western Australian Photographic Federation.
Juanita has owned a professional Canon SLR camera since 1984 but she only began learning DSLR (Digital) photography from January 2010 and has received awards for a number of her photographs. Her images are consistently awarded Gold, Silver & Bronze in club judging against very stiff competition. She likes to shoot in a variety of locations/conditions and likes to photograph a variety of genre in order to continue learning and to hone her photographic skills.
Juanita has had specialised training in 2011 on Digital workflow and processing by WA's own, AIPP Australian Landscape Photographer of the Year, Christian Fletcher.
A number of work related shoulder injures forced the camera's to be moth balled in 2012. After many years of operations & rehab she has been left with permanent damage. In late 2021 Juanita decided to try to pick up where she left off, some lenses and heavy camera's are still a problem to operate but the new Canon line of light weight mirrorless camera's have been a blessing. She is hoping to resume photography competitions in 2022.
